Government ordered the closure of all private tuition centres in Kashmir valley for 90 days
Qisar Ahmad Mir Journalist Jammu & Kashmir 26 April, Government on Sunday ordered the closure of all private tuition centres in Kashmir valley for 90 days.
The order was announced by Minister for Finance and Education, Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari during a meeting with, Principals, Zonal Education Officer’s (ZEO’s) and Chief Education Officers (CEO’s), of different higher secondary schools of the valley.
Minister said, “I want to focus on the schooling of the students and normal functioning of the schools. During the meeting, we were seeing the distraction of the students and we found private tuition centres one of the distractions and decided to close them for 90 days.”
“We are not against the private tuition centres, but the attendance of the students towards the schools is low which we found because of the private tuition centres,” he added.
Minster said that “By the official order and appeal, we will ask the owners of private tuition centres to stop their shops for some time.”
